Wood turning lathes are among the oldest types of machines. They are used for symmetrical processing of wood details along a rotational axis. Woodwork lathes allow for an unsurpassed versatility in shaping, grinding and cutting of wood.
The woodworking lathes offered by EIM-Trade are manufactured in Bulgaria by ZMM Stomana Silistra - a company with more than 60 years of experience in machine production. Currently, the company is one of the largest Bulgarian producers of woodworking machines with 90 percent of production being exported to the EU countries, Russia, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the Middle East. The lathes are CE certified and are capable of turning details at lengths from 1200 to 2540 mm with diameters of 215 to 420mm over the carriage and 450 to 610mm over bed. The Bulgarian-made woodworking lathes offered by EIM-Trade have four speeds ranging from 375 to 3250 RPM, they may be custom-ordered with electronic speed changing regulators, 20 or 50 inch extensions, copying devices, spiral cutting mechanism, various lunettes and other tools. The lathes have welded gray iron beds and with weights of 400 to 500 kilos provide good vibrational resistance and stability.
