Band saw cutting machines
Bandsaws use a continuous sawblade driven by two or more wheels and are capable of performing cuts of various shapes at different angles. When used for cutting metal, bandsaws are typically equipped with brushes along the sawblade to prervent chips getting stuck between the teeth. Cooling systems are often used to counter the friction heat which builds at the sawblade. Depending on the needs, bandsaws come in different designs. The two most common types are horizontal bansaws, which move the blade, while keeping the workpiece stationary and vertical bandsaws, which move the workpiece, while keeping the blade stationary. Bandsaws can perform mitre cuts and can also be automatically fed.
